Where is ALI PROJECT’s New Album?

I’m probably sure I’m talking to a brick wall (no one ever comments) but I’m wondering this: WHERE is ALI PROJECT’s new album????

It’s May and we haven’t heard anything from them except a new single. They usually release two (count it: two) albums per year: an experimental album and a strings album.

There isn’t any news on anything.

Maybe they’re on tour? I haven’t checked their site but their lyricswikia page is usually updated about their new things. There was nothing there except the single.

Is everything okay with them? Is Katakura-Sama sick again?

What is going on?

A Flash Fic A Day #0: S C R E A M S

I have begun a “flash fic a day” challenge and I swear to The Lord I will NOT fail. I originally intended to have only original fiction so I could expand upon my stories but it’s too late in the night to post the story I want. Instead I am opening up with fan fiction focused on my favorite gem: Lapis Lazuli. (Hence the reason this is #0) Since its at night and this isn’t tied to my original fiction I can craft this safely for posting. It’s based on a flash fiction prompt by Nancy Stohlman: #15: Write a story that involves a reoccurring and/or deep dark fear. This will be interesting. Please enjoy!

You are mine!! You are ALWAYS SUPPOSE TO BE MINE!!!!

Lapis, STOP!!

No, Peridot. He is mine and I am taking him with me.

She stays on the cold ground and let’s her tears splash upon the solid-water floor. Her actions on that day disgusted her—forever ingrained, in her memory and their memory. She hasn’t spoken to the Crystal Gems since her embarrassing defeat. She wants to tell him sorry but all she can do is wallow in her pillar of water and cry.

“They still remember it. I know they do. It’s even evidenced on that Connie girl’s camera.

My past is not today. My past is not today.

I led him on, that’s what they think. I told him how I felt despite not knowing him truly—he knows it. He remembers. Will he hate me for it when I become a diamond gem?”

Lapis looks to the stars for guidance. She cannot ask Blue Diamond because Blue Diamond is dead and gone (trapped…in a bubble). She is alone on this issue and must guide herself by herself.

“What will my diamond think when—or if—I tell her?”

Blue Diamond used to say “Lapis, you are so sweet and kind. Don’t let other gems tear you down. Stand proud, as my gem.”

Whatever may happen, Lapis cannot risk it and she cannot let it rule her. She finally gets off the floor and stands on her own two feet. She has already decided what she wants to do. She will ask for an apology and then she will live as she always should have done.

“Okay, Steven. I am coming.”

With a strong push of her wings she sets off for Beach City.

Thank you for reading!!! I hope this wasn’t too weird. It is Lapis x Steven. He is older in this and she tries to take him away because she didn’t want to lose his friendship to Connie and the other gems. This cases her to act out and confess her love—which might not have been love to begin with. She fell in love with his character and does not truly love him.

As I was writing this I NEEEEED a sad song to listen to. That song is Heavy Price Paid from the original Halo 2 soundtrack. I swear that game has the best main menu music ever. Also, the picture used as a featured image inspired the story. That image + the song are a great combination. I would like to know who the artist is and if there is a full size version.

Anime Spotlight: Outbreak Company

Before I started my weekly anime rituals for this blog, I would often find myself just scanning through Crunchyroll’s library for a new anime to watch, seeing if I found anything conceptually that grabbed my attention. During one of these fateful nights, I came across the synopsis for the show Outbreak Company: “Shinichi’s mission is to […]

Something’s a-coming!

I’ve been getting back into the game on this blog and am ready to start posting TSODR fiction again! The frustrating thing about organizing all that fiction into book form is, when you’ve made a world so big you want everyone to see every possible story and drown happily in the lore—that was the cause of why Dragons and Cicadas is so huge.

However with that aside, I’ll post stories anyway and think about organization later. A writer needs to write and fans need to read.
I’ve been feeling lighter since coming back to all my old accounts to resume my mission of shoving space dragons down people’s throats taking over the world with my bisexual killer trash can dragons. I haven’t signed back into Goodreads yet. I’ll do that once I complete a story prompt I owe. I did browse the dragon section for a hot minute and it’s still the same in the “top rated dragon books” part. There’s some new stuff like Romance, etc, but I didn’t read any reviews. Reading good and bad reviews is how I dissect the faults of other authors and try not to make mistakes that they have made. Lord knows I don’t want my dragons to be like everyone else’s -.-

Aside from that, I’m getting less and less scared of fame now. Recent events made me realize people will talk about you, especially online. Whether good or bad they will talk. It is your job to not take it to heart and know your worth especially. And stop Googling yourself.

Anyways I’ll stop rambling and get back to blogging. Here’s what to expect:

  • A flash story about Sammy (or Sylvio. Yup I got a new dragon!) in the Italian countryside
  • My thoughts about the Assassin’s Creed trailer
  • GET REKT: my thoughts on Yugioh Arc V (yes I watch that shit) and its tumblr fandom (o holy hell)
  • A post about my Patreon

It’s going to be exciting! Current mood:

Where I’ve Been (repost)

This was reposted from my website c:

If you’ve been a subscriber to my blog and followed my (unpolished) stories on Smashwords, then you’ll know that I’ve been silent for a looooong time. A year and a half to be exact. Where have I been? I’ve been in many places (*_*

After my adventures in anime fandoms I found a “writer’s retreat.” Basically it allowed me to portray any character of my choice and write as them. I’ve made many friends at this retreat. I’ve also made MANY mistakes, had an embarassing moment and was almost thrown into a depression from a lack of understanding how the Internet and internet friendships work. Here I was thinking I had mastered the Internet 😄

Anyways, I used to think that retreat was a curse because of how embarrassing I was when I first started but now I see it was a blessing despite the pitfalls. My writing has grown to such an extent that I can see all the errors in my stories and poems. Because of that I am dedicating this year to re-editing those stories and re-releasing them in a form I’ve been dying to do for years but didn’t know how to: anime chapbooks.

I’ve set up a Patreon because I want to earn a living from my work. I’ll also be posting new fiction and some older ones here. Here is my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=3280749&ty=h

Here are more details on what I want to do:

  • re-release most stories in Dragons and Cicadas as individual chapbooks
  • fix the whole book of D&C so it becomes a more concrete and easy-to-understand collection
  • give more depth to all characters, including minor ones. each character would get their own backstory chapbook (think of it as Haruhi Suzumiya Character Albums as books)

I can already tell this is going to be a fun year •v•

I’ll explain more about where I’ve been a little bit later. Right now I need to work. Now if I could just learn how to forget the past and that humans make mistakes that’d be great.

Thanks for reading!

Talking Sunday: The Ending of Yu Gi Oh ZEXAL (No Spoilers!)

20140323-215506.jpg

One anime I’ve come across has grabbed me by the heart strings and has never let me go. That anime is Yu Gi Oh! ZEXAL. Damn, what a good show.

I’ve been watching ZEXAL for some time now, devoting my life to it (I think). I started with the English dub at episode 98 and at first I thought the voices were typical corny anime dub voices but I was instantly pulled in and set it on automatic record. Since then I’ve been obsessing with the show and have fallen in love with it, especially Yuma and Astral.

I didn’t feel like waiting for the next episode so to bide my time I went and watched the first three episodes in English and the next five episodes in Japanese. I was amazed by Continue reading

Thor: The Dark World Review (Better than the first!)

I saw this movie in 3D the day after it came out. I, being a Marvel fan since The Avengers, enjoyed this movie so much. My feelings of happiness about this movie are in a flurry, so let me gather my thoughts.

ACTING

The roles were well played. I loved Chris Hemsworth as Thor (the role suits him well) and Tom Hiddleston was superb as Loki. In fact, Continue reading

Review: Marmotica by Rekka Katakiri (CLOSED/UNDERGROUND)

Front cover of Marmotica by Rekka Katakiri
Front cover of Marmotica by Rekka Katakiri

The Marmotica Series is a series of experimental music CDs that are self published by Rekka Katakiri from her doujinshi circle, CLOSED/UNDERGROUND. The Marmotica series varies in style with each CD but they all seem to have a common theme: awesome rock music. This mini album/Doujinshi CD is where Rekka’s magic with rock music shines. This is actually the third Marmotica album I have heard. The first I heard was Marmotica B. Below is the review and my thoughts on each of the five songs.

威風漸進 (Track 1): this song opens up with a Black Rebel Motorcycle Club-style low guitar riff. The guitars in this song play in perfect harmony to deliver a creepy horror and thriller film music video feeling to this song. I like the drums in this song and I like how the guitars are doubled. You can hear it, it sounds like two guitars are playing the same riff at once. you can hear it at 1:19 and 2:44.

幻想の華音 (Track 2): this track is fantastic and so moody! The guitars in the beginning sounded so familiar that I had to Continue reading

Interview with Adrienne Wilder, The Urban Fantasy Author!

Today I interview another indie author – Adrienne Wilder, author of the urban fantasy dragon series Darwin’s Theory, Gray Zone and City of Dragons. She’s also the author of the Others Series, the God Code series and the book JACK. If I remember correctly, I found out about her City of Dragons book when I was searching “Dragons of Atlanta” because I wanted to see if anyone else wrote a ‘dragons in Atlanta’ story like I did. I tried reading it recently but I couldn’t finish it. Novels and I really don’t get along :/

Enough of my rambling. Below is the interview in all its glory!

Adrienne for theinternet0009

When did you first begin writing City of Dragons/Darwin’s Theory (or whichever books you want to talk about)? What were your inspirations?

Most of the books I have written were started a while ago, I just never finished/published them. I have hyper creativity, so my inspiration can be anything from a dream to a salt shaker. Basically my ideas have a weird way of forming that often makes no sense. Keeps things interesting.

When did you first fall in love with dragons.

According to my mother I was 3. I escaped her arms at the showing of Disney’s Pete’s Dragon and ran down the aisle screaming “Don’t hurt my friend.”

Which scene was the hardest to write?

If you mean hard by difficult to construct? I don’t really have an answer because those kinds of things usually fall into place without me really even realizing it. As for a scene that was difficult due to content, I’d say a very large portion of the book JACK (a contemporary) would fit that bill.

Did your writing ever bring you to tears?

I am embarrassed to say, yes. Many times. I’m a sap.

What are your fondest memories of writing the book(s)?

Usually the actual writing of the story. That’s when I often go away in my head.

How has e-Publishing changed your life? Continue reading

Interview with Diane Astle, Author of Ben the Dragonborn

20140223-130550.jpg

Hello everyone! I bring you my very first interview with an indie author! Her name is Diane Astle, author of Ben the Dragonborn. I had the pleasure of meeting her in a dragon group I moderate. I love helping and I wanted to help her with exposure of her children’s book, Ben the Dragonborn. The interview is right below this paragraph!

~~~
When did you first start writing Ben the Dragonborn?
It is hard to believe that I started writing Ben the Dragonborn 14 years ago. I had not yet read Harry Potter and I had never heard of Skyrim when I started to write. When I started I was not fulfilling a life-long dream. While I had thought it might be cool to write, I never thought I would, so I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about doing so. I had learning Continue reading
App Review: Secret Society by G5 Games
Its my first post in a long while and this post is a game review. One thing was really searching for after giving up Hidden Chronicles was a good hidden objects game that came close to that one in terms of quality.
Well, I found that in Secret Society, a game developed by MyTona and released by G5 Games. Immediately I was drawn into it. It has good graphics, a good storyline and can be addicting and best of all: it is a mobile game.
what sets it apart from other games is that it is easy to play and has a clean interface. One thing I look for when plying games is a clean user interface. It’s a reason why I haven’t played many RPGs and JRPGs except Fallout 3 and the Final Fantasy Lightning game (I think that’s FF 20). Many online games have clunky and horrible interfaces that get in the way of gameplay. This one doesn’t. Did I mention it is mobile?
I tried other hidden object games like Hidden Manor and G5’s other hidden object games. None of them can compare to Secret Society in ease of use and engagement.
If you are looking for a good hidden object game, do yourself a favor and download Secret Society. It is free and worth your time.
New Release and Doujinshi Information
20140207-114305.jpg
I have a new releeeaaassseee~! I announce the print version of Dragonworld ETC, originally published in ebook format, is now in print format so you can enjoy the feel, look and smell of the book and its poems! This new release comes with my transition back to print books and the ending of updating Dragons and Cicadas.
I really do love print books and I stopped making them because I thought the ebook market was where its at. The ebook market is still viable but I like to see my words on paper, inside a print book and I’m tired of seeing it on a screen. I don’t get that feeling of accomplishment I get with print books.
I was looking at a Code Geass doujinshi by Fuukatei that I bought and I realized “doujinshi is short. I like short.” And “People in Japan and other countries still enjoy print books.” Another reason that I stopped with print books was because I thought people wouldn’t like short books. Now I see length doesn’t matter. Just tell the story (or stories) that need to be told.
Along with Dragonworld ETC is the release of a special 70-page Doujinshi-inspired poetry book called Joan and the Mares. The book has poetry that was includes in Dragons and Cicadas but the book also has new poems and the final ending to the story Mare Council. Because of its length, Joan and the Mares is a regular poetry book and not a chapbook. (I shouldn’t say regular, its special!)
These books are only available at Lulu and won’t be at any other retailer.
I also have an upcoming poetry/flash fiction Doujinshi and I have a new chapbook series of historical stories taking place in the TSODR universe, titled HISTORIA.
Please support me and buy these books! One day I will sell these at Comiket and have all sorts of good merchandise to sell with them, just like my favorite Yaoi Trap Doujinshi artist/circle (they’re named after a plant).
Joan and the Mares: Click here!
Ad Astra!
Sincerely,
L’Poni
Ava Bear, Where Art Thou My Ava Bear?
It was a mistake
I am sorry
The day I let you slip from my grasp, I wanted to take you back
I replay the moment, undoing time and ripping up a paper that should have never existed.
I kept saying “we will take her back” but they…they wouldn’t give you back.
It was a mistake, you see.
My heart–our hearts–are torn to shreds without you.
We try to recover, but there is no recovering.
No one can replace you
And only you can repair the gash in my soul that bleeds.
Fresh Release: Seven by Adrienne Wilder (Cover Reveal!)
Hello Everydragon! I am doing a “Fresh Release” post for the super great author Adrienne Wilder. I first heard of her when I saw her City of Dragons book and recently I have been reminded of it and will be reading it very soon and even though novels aren’t my fancy, I will try my hardest to finish it. The new book she has just released, Seven, is a new Sci Fi tale from the Dragonauthor. There are no dragons/Kin in this book, but you need to give it a try anyway. Below is the Continue reading
